Dr Anna Nelson
She completed her haematology training through Liverpool Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, followed by a subspecialty fellowship year at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in red cell disorders and clinical trials. She has a strong interest in public health, completing a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University in 2018.
Anna was accepted into the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a General Physician in 2019 and became a Specialist Haematologist in 2020 following her acceptance into the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
Anna works as a Consultant Haematologist at Gosford Private Hospital and is a Locum Haematologist at Gosford District Hospital, as well as seeing patients in her East Gosford rooms.
She has a special interest in red cell disorders, autoimmune and malignant haematology. Whilst enjoying the practice of medicine, Anna greatly enjoys the interpersonal side of haematology, building relationships with her patients that facilitate holistic care alongside quality clinical management.
In non-work time, Anna wrangles her two young children together with her husband, and pursues hobbies such as dance, writing, traveling and photography.
