Our paediatricians provide care for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, behavioural and medical concerns. Consultation fees vary depending on the complexity of the appointment and the time required. This allows adequate time for assessment, care planning, review of reports, and coordination with other healthcare providers when required.

What is an Extended or Complex Consultation?
Some children require a higher level of assessment, coordination and ongoing management. Examples may include:
- Multiple diagnoses or significant medical complexity
- Review of extensive reports, assessments or investigations
- Detailed treatment planning and care coordination
- Communication with schools, allied health providers or other healthcare professionals
- Consultations that require substantially more time than a standard appointment
Where appropriate, your specialist may recommend or bill an Extended or Complex Consultation to ensure sufficient time is available to address your child's needs.
Medicare Rebates
Most consultations attract a Medicare rebate when a valid referral is in place. The rebate received will depend on the consultation type and Medicare item billed.
Financial Hardship
We understand that healthcare costs can place financial pressure on some individuals and families.
We believe that financial circumstances should not prevent children from accessing necessary specialist care. If the cost of an appointment may be a barrier for your family, please contact our team before your appointment so that available options can be discussed confidentially.
Additional Fees
Please note that fees may apply for services provided outside of a consultation, including:
- Completion of forms and reports
- Prescription requests without an appointment
- Missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 2 business days' notice may attract a cancellation fee of $150
